The combination of beech wood and strong MDF from approved mills in Europe provides a strong foundation for our furniture. The beech wood comes from certified forests. All MDF is processed in Denmark, where we ensure that the quality meets both our own and the authorities' requirements.

An important part of the safety of our furniture is the environmentally friendly water-based varnish we use for surface treatment. The varnish provides a beautiful and smooth finish that is both pleasant to the touch and durable in everyday use.

Our lacquer is completely harmless and free of dangerous chemicals. It is tested and approved to the strict European safety standards for baby furniture, high beds and bunk beds – so you can rest assured that the surface is safe for even the smallest children to use.

At the same time, the varnish ensures that the color remains beautiful and unchanged over time. Unlike stained pine furniture, which often yellows or absorbs sunlight, our furniture maintains its appearance for many years to come.

At Manis-h we know that when it comes to children's furniture, it's not enough that the materials are strong and the surface is beautiful. Stability, distances and construction are at least as crucial for your child's safety.

That's why all our products are safety tested by an independent party – the Danish Technological Institute. Here, the furniture is reviewed according to the strict European requirements of the EN 747 standard for high beds and bunk beds. This standard describes exactly which openings and distances are allowed to avoid the risk of suffocation, ensures that little arms and legs do not get trapped, and that the distance from the mattress to the edge of the bed provides a safe sleep.

We also test that the slatted base can withstand more than just sleep – namely for bedtime stories with mom or dad, for everyday play and for children's natural movement and curiosity. A bed must be stable – and where other beds may require fixing to the wall to stand securely, this is unnecessary with ours. With solid beech wood and strong MDF, a Manis-h bed stands stably and securely on its own.
